Subj: Fwd: Help Stop the Spread of Staph Infections in Saint PaulBill DahnPO Box 7417St.Paul,MN.55107651-453-1992Basics HygieneNov.26th,2007 Monday To Governor Tim Pawlenty.Hi Tim,Bill Dahn here to bring this to your attention. You may know that I am a active member of Earth Protectors, http://www.lesliedavis.org/ ,PETA, and as you and most people in government know that I am a Native American. You see that I care about the health of others, like in the case with my home and the 200,000 other homes with the same bad insulation in them. That insulation helped make the name Bill Dahn a name that most people ingovernment will see if Bill Dahn has a good complaint, before they just shit-can it !We as the people of Minnesota, we are asking U to do more to improve Minnesota's hospital and jail prevention program to address infection'sAs a concerned Whistle Blower from St.Paul, I am begging you to do something for all people of this state. You as our Governor shake hands with people all day, you must pray that these hands you areshaking were washed after they did they business ?The spreading of staff infection in hospitals cause more deaths in Minnesota than we care to admit.Be a Governor that people will respect, put Your hand in for "basics hygiene".PS I see that St.Paul's Mayor Chris Coleman came down with something in his travels toGermany last week. Was he around people that didn't care about the health of others, or did he shake hands witha person that did not know about good hygiene ?Thank You Tim.Bill DahnFrom: aolfriends@earth.care2.com

Dear Bill4,
Good, old-fashioned hand-washing: it's one of the most useful tips at this time of year. Washing your hands is a simple and often effective first line of defense against the antibiotic-resistant MRSA "superbug" as well. But when you or a loved one has to visit a hospital, are you sure your doctors have done the same?
Tell According to a study released last month by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, MRSA is now responsible for more American deaths each year than the AIDS virus.
MRSA can spread through contact with doctors and nurses with unwashed hands. Numerous studies show that hand hygiene in most hospitals is unacceptably low -- usually below 50 percent compliance rates. That means that -- on average -- doctors, nurses and other health care workers fail to clean their hands properly over half the time.
Every day, 50 Americans die from MRSA because hospitals aren't doing enough. Please take a minute to tell Governor Pawlenty that Minnesota's hospitals need to deal with these infections effectively»
Thanks for taking action,
Natasha
